THANK YOU!
From the "Scared of Santa" segment to the audience choral closing of "Silent Night", last month's Christmas shows were a wonderful success. Really, thank you to everyone who attended. For you super planners out there, here are the dates for 2010: Dec. 17 & 18 at the Rose Wagner in SLC. We might add a matinee too. Stay tuned!

Now on to 2010 . . .

SONGS ABOUT THE GREAT DIVIDE CONCERT
We're excited to announce a very special concert on January 28. Peter, Mike Ensign, and Michael Waterman--three original members of Big Parade--are going to reconvene and perform the entire "Songs About the Great Divide" album from start to finish much the way it was recorded. For those who don't know, that album was our first release, the one that got us on the map, and the one that has songs like "You Wear Flowers", "Fool In The Tavern", "Wandering", "Jerusalem", "Birken Street", and "What About". Sure, we'll throw in a few songs from other albums too, but the night largley belongs to the first album. We can't wait!

WHEN: Thurs, January 28 at 7 pm
WHERE: Velour Live Music Gallery, 135 North University Avenue, Provo, UT. (801) 818-2263; www.velourlive.com
TICKETS: $5
OPENERS: Roger and Liz Archibald and Ryan Meeks.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE
For those who haven't been following it in the news, Peter's friend and music colleauge Paul Cardall had a 2009 of highs and lows. As he was awaiting a heart donor, his physical condition forced him to stop peforming altogether. In April he was the benefieicary of a massive fundraiser concert (at which Peter performed), and the two months later, his younger brother suffered an untimely death by the side of a highway in Southern Utah as a result of being tasered. Paul's condition worsened through the summer until September when he received a donor heart. After a miraculous transplant, he is enjoying a brand new kind of life.

To celebrate his new life, his friends Sam Payne, Mindy Gledhill, Peter Breinholt and Paul Cardall himself (in his first public performance since the operation) will gather at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City on February 15 for a "musical celebration of life". Paul's life. More details at www.paulcardall.com
